ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2018 Submission.

I'm a nature and conservation artist. Imagine the image of the leaf without the gecko. It’s nice, it’s not great. The light shows through the leaf, and the gecko is the main feature. Geckos range anywhere between least concern to endangered depending on species. Typically, anything that reduces or degrades rainforest is going to affect their outcomes. Therefore, while the image is simple and backlit, the story is more complex. Anything that is done to protect rainforest habitat benefits biodiversity big and small. Once species are lost, they are gone forever. I dedicate my art to highlighting environmental issues.
