I utilize discarded materials, such as cast away jewelry, gem stones, shells, wood to contribute to the theme and message of my creations.  Each object provides a subtext suggesting not only its original function, but also the scar of its use over time.  Once new, then used, rejected and discarded; and subsequently reborn as elements in a work of art to please the eye and move the soul.
