SUBMISSION: Ingenious Kin by Amy Pugh

"This piece is Ingenious Kin in a vegan leather bag. I wouldn't be inspired to paint anything if the animals weren't here. I want to make sure I'm doing my part to protect them. I'm hoping when people look at my art they'll feel what I feel and have a greater respect for the animals. That's my hope" Amy was born and currently resides in the Atlanta area. She began drawing and creating art at a very early age. It was also at this early age that Amy became fascinated by animals. She won a county art completion in kindergarten and came in second at the state level.

Wildlife quickly became her favorite subject for her artwork. She came from a family of animal-lovers and animals were always around in her life. As a junior in High School Amy also attended the Atlanta Collage of Art and won second prize at the Piedmont art festival. She takes her original oil paintings of animals and prints them on a variety of products. They have been sold successfully at many zoos and aquariums, including Zoo Atlanta. Her business, Salvador Kitti, also does benefits and makes donations to many wildlife conservation organizations and animal shelters. Art and animals are Amy's passions in life.
