SUBMISSION: The Thinker by Lisa Renee Ludlum

One of my favorite quotes is “it’s not what you look at that matters – it’s what you see” by Thoreau. I find this so true with the art of photography. As a life-long Florida gal, I have truly been blessed to live in this amazing state - a canvas of endless possibilities and diverse opportunities. My lens is an extension of my eye and my camera is an extension of my soul. Beauty surrounds us, yet the fine details are often missed in our busy lives. Understanding this concept, I have channeled my expertise as a photographer in conjunction with my passionate artistic style by capturing life’s intricate moments. I get great joy out of sharing my visionary images through the magic of photography.

I am inspired by all genres of photography, yet my strongest connection is with nature and I am truly captivated by “Macro Photography”. There is a deep awe of intrigue with extreme close-up images – it is like discovering a hidden treasure and the smallest things reveal the most amazing jewels.
