Submission: Waterfall by Jean Parsons

"Waterfall celebrates and brings focus to the critical importance of clean water for all life. The concept was to blend garment form and surface design to create the illusion of moving water. The garment was developed using traditional dressmaking techniques, while the fabric was digitally printed with a photographic montage of water, jellyfish tentacles and tropical fish, blending photographs of ocean life in both real and abstracted forms. The bodice is divided into sections; the imagery then opens up and flows to the bottom of the skirt, where ripples of water and partially hidden fish can be seen. Addition of silk printed ribbons add to the movement." This beautiful dress will be modeled on Saturday, December 6th, 7-9pm at the ENDANGERED show. 2320 North Miami Avenue. Please come see the fashion show, enjoy a cocktail and see amazing art whilst touring Miami's only (legal) rum distillery, home of the award-winning Miami Club Rum.
