These large acrylic paintings are rendered on sand and canvas and show endangered vanishing animals. The greatest success story is that the tools we have at our disposal to protect our environment and wildlife are actually working! Conservation projects can help bring species back. Given the immense challenges ahead, with overall biodiversity at threat due to climate change, land use changes and pollution as well as cases of extreme poaching of iconic species such as rhinos, elephants, leopards, gorillas and others we need to pursue ambitious conservation projects to keep our planet intact for future generations. Artwork can express the diversity and beauty of these animals, highlight what we are in danger of losing, and inspire efforts to increase their numbers and protect them.

I create my art with the hope of inspiring people to take note of the beauty around them. I work primarily in acrylics on canvas, after having been a muralist for quite a few years. Canvas painting has afforded me the freedom to explore and create more independently. I am inspired by my love of nature and aim to portray that on my canvas. Whether I am at home in Florida or traveling I find breathtaking scenery everywhere. I capture bits and pieces and meld them into a realistic scene for the viewer. This painting of this puffin waiting to spot some fish is meant to share the beauty of these small creatures as well as to raise awareness as their numbers are dwindling. My wish is that future generations will have the opportunity to be awed by their beauty. I so enjoy painting that I have found it is a necessary part of me. I believe that God has provided us with so much beauty in nature and I would like to share what I see.

I love to watch people, imagining their life stories. I often find myself drawn in and affected by the lives of people I meet. This visual or emotional memory of jubilancy or struggle is stored inside me.
Some of my art turns to nature and pays homage to its restorative quality. Billowing clouds on bright blue skies, impending storms, hazy atmospheric days, the movement of water, all excite and call me.
Most of my landscapes highlight the sky and a body of water. People are often seen interacting synergistically with nature, as in paintings of beach goers or sailors on the sea.
I seek to understand and express what I see and feel, experimenting with various mediums. There are no medium boundaries for me. Materials of choice include oil and palette knife, watercolor, monoprints, monotypes, wood and wire.
It makes me happy when the viewer finds in my work a sort of pantheistic spirituality. Ultimately, we are dependent upon each other and nature to keep balanced.

My paintings are narratives. One can read and discover many themes while lost in my work. I interpret the world from the better side by the positive view and by the selective perception of life, always seeking beautiful, colorful and magical things and events. In my paintings I offer the illusion and the possibility of the mental asylum. In my artistic interpretations I am trying to create a harmony within the story. There is always an intense fairy tale and colorful emission of a positive attitude and thinking. I created for myself a bold and unmistakable painting style that could be based on elements of puzzles for example. Ideas transfer into rich colorful backgrounds, always full of unique forms and proportions awakening moods and emotions. I try to transfer the colorful happiness onto various products, apparel, jewelry, accessories. It's up to viewers if they'll let this positive influence into their lives and if they allow themselves to enjoy the journey into the virtual reality

I paint in acrylic, mostly nature based subject matter, aiming to bring awareness to the need to protect and preserve threatened and endangered species and their ever decreasing habitats and highlighting The Everglades. I'm drawn to color, flow and movement in my artwork and try to evoke a feeling/emotion, showing my love of nature and incorporating some life experiences living in Ireland and Florida.
The natural peaceful beauty that surrounds us is my inspiration. Some scenes are so breathtaking, they just call to be painted and what better tribute than to capture a moment in time with brush strokes on canvas, to view forever. I have experienced many cultures and sights, having traveled extensively, and would like to explore this in future paintings. I admire the wonderful paintings of Georgia O'Keeffe.

Art is my passion!
My paintings are primitive images that transform into sculpture on canvas, exploding with color and detail in acrylic, and reflected by cultural influences from all over the world.
These influences naturally led me to paint on a wide variety of three-dimensional surfaces, such as vases, shoes, barrels, and guitars.
I constantly strive to expand my artistic impulses by finding new three-dimensional surfaces to paint, as well as continue my two-dimensional sculptural work on canvas.

Although, I did not realize it at the time, after viewing the ‘Screaming Pope’ (by Francis Bacon) I was inspired to set off on my own to create emotional figurative work. Emotional Rivers, both good and bad, is a theme that runs through my artwork. I find myself traveling through the lives of these figures in a sort of storytelling type of time travel.
These multi-media works often include three-dimensional elements; some embedded, and some surface mounted. Encaustic and other mediums have been used to embed vintage jewelry, glass, handmade paper, photos and ephemera from passed lives. These pieces are assembled together as would pieces in a puzzle and are added as an exclamation point referencing the story telling and the sense of history. One of the most unique aspects of this work is its multi-dimensional quality.
