I feel animals have a story to tell. You must learn their ways to comprehend these stories. A tail between the legs of a dog, the perked ears of a horse, an upturned, exposed belly of a cat are all examples of the subtle language of animals. I find insight into the behavior of people by watching the antics of animals. The parallels are sometimes fascinating!
Many animals get a bad rap, they are not pretty enough, they are perceived as a nuisance, they are thought of as dangerous, or they simply are obscure. The right artist can change this. They can endear that animal to people simply by how they portray it. This is something I like to do.
