I was fortunate to discover my artistic gift later on in life through a life changing journey into the wilds of Alaska that reconnected me with nature. Since that time the main focus of my artwork has been creating sculptures for my Our Shared Planet traveling environmental exhibit. The exhibit is dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of the natural world around us and foster a reverence for all its creatures.
The exhibit contains a number of my highly detailed life-size wildlife wood sculptures, set against lighted interpretive backdrops, beautiful photographs and quotes, along with nature sounds and music, all designed to raise the consciousness and awareness of its visitors. Sections of the exhibit feature endangered species and the fragile ecosystems which they inhabit, stressing the importance of their preservation.
